Trigger , wax cast steel, for U. S. Model 1803 Harper's Ferry
This wax cast steel trigger is copied directly from the trigger used on rifles made from 1803 to 1806. The web in the back is half depth, while later triggers have a full length web, behind the trigger face. Fitted to a slotted brass wear plate, the trigger is not suspended from the trigger plate, but is pinned directly to the wood.
