This Ruger New Vaquero is a favorite of cowboy action shooters around the country. The large six shot revolver is chambered for the .45 Colt (Long Colt) cartridge and has a 5-1/2" barrel. This revolver is finished to a dark blue. The blue finish has some holster wear with edges worn bright and a drag line on the cylinder. This revolver qualifies for FFL transfer and can be picked up by a Minnesota resident, or it must be shipped to a FFL dealer in another state.

The 5-1/2" round barrel is fitted with a fixed blade front sight. A notch in the top of the frame forward of the hammer works as a rear sight for the gun. The hammer spur is grooved to give the shooter a secure grip when cocking the revolver. To the rear of the fluted cylinder the loading gate of the revolver can be seen. The gate can be opened to extract empty shells and load fresh rounds, it must also be open for removal of the cylinder. The right hand side of the barrel houses the ejector rod to remove spent cartridges. A final look at the revolver shows off the factory markings on the barrel and the frame. The frame reads RUGER NEW VAQUERO over .45.cal.. The factory warnings are under the barrel on this example. The checkered walnut grips do not have the Ruger emblem.

The revolver is used with some marks in the finish. It has the gray plastic case and manual. The bore is bright and it has been well maintained. This revolver qualifies for FFL transfer and can be picked up by a Minnesota resident, or it must be shipped to a FFL dealer in another state.
