Placing Orders

Our website makes it easy for you to place your order anytime day or night. If you already created an account, the first step would be to log in so your billing/shipping information will be automatically filled in for you. If you do not have an account, you will enter all of this information later in the process.

To shop, click on the category you are interested in or if you know the name of the product or item number, simply type it into the search box.

To add an item to your cart, simply click "Add To Cart". Items are placed in your shopping cart and will remain there until you close your browser. The contents or your cart are emptied if you close your browser. You can add to the quantity of a particular item in your cart by changing the quantity field when you "View Your Cart."

Once you have shopped and added items to your cart, click "Check Out" to continue with the check out process. "Proceed to Secure Checkout" allows you to check out instantly. If you select "Proceed to Printable Order Form", you will then mail your order in with your payment. Follow the prompts on the screen to complete your order. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be filled in.

If an item you ordered is out of stock, you will need to complete your backorder preferences. In this section you will tell us if you want the item to be a pre-paid backorder (shipped later at our expense), an un-paid backorder (you pay shipping fees when the item arrives) or if you would like us to cancel the item. Please note that we do not accept paid backorders on foreign orders. For orders being delivered to an address outside of the United States, you only have the option for an un-paid backorder or to cancel the item. See the Inventory Status section for further explanation of our terms and backorder options.

Once you place your order, you will receive a confirmation page that includes your order number. We strongly suggest you print this page for your records. You will also receive a confirmation email to the email address you supplied on your order. This is to assure you that the order is in our queue for processing.

When looking at items on our website, the inventory status appears with the item's picture and description. Here is a definition of the terms we use on our site:
  • Item is currently in stock and we will ship with your order.
  • Item is currently sold out and we are unsure when more will be available.
  • Currently sold out, we expect more in approximately 30 days.
  • Currently sold out, we expect more in approximately 60 days.
  • Currently sold out, we expect more in approximately 90 days.
  • Currently sold out, we expect more in approximately 120 days.
  • Currently sold out, we expect more in approximately 180 days.
  • Currently sold out, we expect more in approximately 270 days.
  • Currently sold out, we expect more in approximately 365+ days.
  • Item is sold out, we are not accepting backorders at this time. Click "Notify Me" and enter your email address. We will notify you when this item becomes available again.
  • Item is out of stock and no longer available.
  • We are currently out of this item. Future delivery is unknown.
  • Book is no longer being printed or produced. Once we sell through our remaining inventory, item will no longer be available. We will not be getting any more in.
The following terms refer to our one-of-a-kind items:
  • Item has been shipped out for inspection, and at this time, is NOT available. You can click "Notify Me" and enter your email address. We will notify you IF this item becomes available again.
  • Item has been sold and is no longer available, even though you may be able to still view it on our website for a short period of time.

On the Backorders and Special Instruction page of online checkout or on your order form, you have different options for items that may be on backorder. Please note that orders shipped to foreign addresses do not have the option to place an item on backorder. Here are the options and what they mean:

  • Backorder and add amount    This is a pre-paid backorder. You will pay for this item with your original order. We will ship it to you for no additional shipping charges when the item arrives.
  • Backorder and refund            This is an un-paid backorder. You are not charged for the item until it comes in. You will pay shipping on your original order, plus the shipping charges on the backordered item when it is shipped.
  • Cancel any out of stock item  Items that are out of stock will not be placed on backorder. We will cancel them from your order.

There are two different ways to learn about what's on sale at Track of the Wolf. The first way would be to click on the "Sales & Specials" category on the homepage. Here you will see all of the items that are currently on sale. You can also learn about our special promotions from our free newsletter! From time to time we have special one-day sales for our newsletter customers only! Click on the "Free E-mail Newsletter" button on the homepage to sign up today!

Yes, we do accept mail-in orders. After you have added items to your cart and click the "Checkout" button, you will have the option of printing your order, rather then submitting it on-line. We also include an order form with all packages we send. If you do not have an order form, a piece of paper will do! Please print clearly to ensure that you will get the items and quantities you intended. All order forms, those printed by TOTW or your own, must include your payment information, such as credit card number with expiration date. We accept personal checks or U.S. money orders made payable to Track of the Wolf. Your order will be processed once it is received.

Feel free to fax in your order, rather than sending it by mail. The same rules apply as a mail-in order. Order forms can be printed off our website or neatly write your order on a piece of paper. Complete credit card information must be on a faxed-in order. Your order will be processed once it is received.

Our highly skilled salesmen are available to take your orders by phone, Monday through Friday. They are available to answer any calls between the hours of 9 am – 5 pm, CST. If you get a busy signal or no answer during the day, all lines are currently in use. Please call back in a couple minutes. Your call will always be answered by a real person, we do not rely on an answering machine. If paying by credit card over the phone, we will ask you for your CCID number. See the next section for clarification.

The CCV/CCV2 security code for your American Express card is the four-digit number located on the front of your credit card, to the right or left above your main credit card number.

We ask for this information for your security, as it verifies for us that a credit card is in the physical possesion of the person attempting to use it.
