Manufactured by Aldo Uberti & Co. of Italy. Known as the Colt 1862 Pocket Police revolver, this revolver is neatly finished, with a blued round barrel, half-fluted cylinder, color case hardened frame, brass back-strap and triggerguard, reddish brown walnut grips, and color case hardened loading lever. The .36 caliber revolver has a five shot half fluted cylinder. The 5-1/2" tapered round barrel is fitted with a small bead sight fitted behind the muzzle. The rear sight is a notch in the hammer to maximize the available sight radius. The walnut grips are smoothly finished to fit comfortably in the shooter's hand. This revolver appears to be unfired, and comes with the factory box.

The factory recommends .375" round balls, and each chamber will hold 25 grains of FFFg powder. We recommend 15 grains of FFFg powder, and a .380" round ball, for best accuracy and best compression. Cover each ball with a small amount of bullet lubricant grease. Despite your best efforts, this revolver will need to be cleaned after 12 or 18 shots. Remove the wedge, barrel, and cylinder. Wipe the face of the cylinder, and wipe the cylinder pin.

If you continue to load and fire a badly fouled revolver, the effort needed to cock and fire the gun will become greater, causing the small internal hand, spring, and cylinder latch to become worn and slightly damaged. Continued abuse will cause the cylinder and latch to become out-of-time. Simple cleaning and maintenance will prevent problems.
