This Kentucky pistol was assembled from a kit manufactured in Spain and imported by Connecticut Valley Arms, Inc.. The bird-head grip is shaped to be comfortable in a medium size man's hand, and the beechwood stock is stained to a light brown tone with gloss finish. The stock is still quite bulky with wood that was not removed. The brass furniture was not fully polished and has aged to mellow patina. The barrel is factory blued with a bright well maintain bore. This pistol weighs 2.5 pounds and points naturally when aimed.

The .50 caliber rifled barrel is 10" long, by 7/8" octagon. The bore is bright and has been well maintained. The barrel is fitted with the factory supplied brass front and steel rear sight. The barrel on this kit was factory blued. The left oblique flat is stamped with the factory warnings and information. The factory supplied ramrod has no provisions for threaded accessories. An additional hickory ramrod with brass tips, both threaded for 10-32 accessories, is included. The correctly styled Maslin percussion lock is factory engraved and color case-hardened. The lock has a strong mainspring and should give sure fire ignition. The drum is fitted with a 6-1mm threaded stainless steel nipple. The brass trigger requires a firm pull to release the lock.

Used, this C.V.A. pistol has some normal wear typical of firing and cleaning. The bore is bright, clean, and ready to shoot for a fun day at the range. Order it for a ten day visual inspection.
