This fine quality Parker Hale powder flask was made by James Dixon of England and is marked James Dixon & Sons Ltd Sheffield on the top of the head. The top of the brass head is also marked Parker Hale Ltd / Birmingham, England.
The knurled brass flask head is easily unscrewed, revealing a heavy copper powder flask, with elegant black leather cover. The finger lever works smoothly, and opens a Sykes Patent powder valve. The telescoping brass charger head is marked GRAINS, and calibrated with positions for 50, 55, 60, 65, & 70. The top is closed with a finger lever to retain the powder, while you charge the spout. The maker claimed that this arrangement was so tight, that sparks could not enter the main flask.
This nice flask is an unusual find. It is truly jewelry quality, and works like a Swiss watch! Parker Hale collectors will appreciate this scarce item. Order it for a ten day visual inspection. You will be delighted. Else if it does not fit you, return it in unfired condition for same-day refund. Postage is your only risk, when you order any one-of-a-kind gun from Track, whether new, used, or antique.
