This CVA pistol was hand assembled and finished from the Connecticut Valley Arms, Inc. kit, manufactured in Spain. Trimmed with brass furniture the large grip on the stock will be comfortable for a medium to large size man's hand. The beech stock has golden brown tone. The percussion lock was factory color case-hardened.

The .50 caliber rifled barrel is 10" long, 1" octagon, finished to a dark blue with some thin spots. The .50 caliber bore is bright. The barrel has a hooked breech for easy removal and is secured with a steel wedge key through the brass oval inlays. The barrel bears CVA factory markings and serial number. The factory sights are a bead front sight and a windage and elevation adjustable rear sight.

The beech stock is stained as walnut. This pistol has a few small scattered handling marks on the stock from use. The oval brass butt cap is factory engraved and retained by two steel wood screws. The wooden ramrod is retained by a single round brass ramrod pipe and enters the stock through a brass forend cap. The ramrod has brass tips, and the rear tip has 10-32 female threads for attaching your 10-32 loading and cleaning jags.

The percussion lock is retained by two lock bolts with round brass washer-style side plates. The drum is fitted with a 6-1mm threaded nipple. The trigger is brass with a color case hardened steel trigger plate. The trigger has noticeable play before it engages the sear.

Used, this CVA Hawken pistol was assembled from a kit. It has some handling marks. The barrel has a bright bore. Order it for a ten day visual inspection. You will be delighted.
