A cherry stock from a kit version of the Miroku manufactured second model Brown Bess musket. The stock is pantograph to a profile with inlets for the lock, breech plug tang, triggerplate, and sideplate. This stock has excess wood on the forearm and a raised panel that has to be removed to fit the triggerguard. The ramrod hole is drilled for a metal ramrod. The lock mortise on these is slightly larger than a Davide Pedersoli Brown Bess lock.
The 42" barrel is .75 caliber smoothbore. The barrel is threaded, but does not have a breech plug. It does have the underlugs and the bayonet lug attached.
Sold as-is for restoration or repair of a Japanese Brown Bess musket.
