An elaborate triggerguard for a highly decorated halfstock rifle, probably made for target work on pleasant afternoons. Notice that our Dimick style triggerguard, above, is hidden within these rococo scrolls. Trim away the extra curls to make a more modest triggerguard for an 1850 to 1880 era show piece.

Overall length is 7-15/16", inside trigger bow is 2-1/16" long, and 1-1/8" deep.
