This blued steel globe front sight is slotted to accept the classic Sharps sight inserts. Rotate the upper retaining spring to insert one of eighteen sight inserts, from the complete set, included with the sight.
Manufactured in Italy, by Davide Pedersoli. The sight now has a hidden set screw in the center of the dovetail base that is accessed by a hole hidden under the spring. This set screw allows the sight to be tightened in a dovetail. The dovetail base is .370" across, .092" deep, .570" wide at the center. The sight aperture is centered 0.440" above the bottom of the dovetail. It will NOT fit the larger 7/16" dovetail slots on Shiloh, C. Sharps, or antique Sharps rifle dovetails.
