Siler large left Flint Lock Kit Our left Siler flint lock kit matches our right Siler flint lock kit. Siler's left lock kit is made in this large rifle size, only. If you are familiar with the internal workings of flint locks, you can assemble our Siler kit, and tune it to be a fine sparking lock. All holes to be drilled in the plate are spotted. A drill guide is included to aid you in accurately locating holes. Springs are hardened and tempered. Kits come with instructions for assembly and tempering in your home work shop. Assembly requires skilled use of tools, including a drill press with vise. Use fractional drill sizes 5/64", 7/64", 9/64", 11/64", 15/64", a No. 19 drill bit, and 1/4-20 and 8-32 taps. We stock these drill bits and taps. We recommend that you order a dozen Flint-#ENG-6 English 3/4" gun flints, too.
