Made by Lyman, this "Ideal" front sight is one of our most popular early cartridge era target sights. All 17's are machined from steel, blued, and have a standard 3/8" dovetail. The sight center is measured from the bottom of the dovetail to the center of the aperture. This is the shortest sight at .404". We have three different taller heights, our most popular .494" for hunting sights, .584" for Vernier tang sights, and .852" for high target sights. Each sight includes a set of eight inserts. The dovetail base measures .382" dovetail, .105" deep, and .531" wide.
