H.E. Leman Indian Trade Rifle muzzle cap for 1" octagon barrels. This clean smooth wax casting is patterned after a original in a local collection. We have examined other H.E. Leman Indian Trade Rifles with the exact same muzzlecap. Overall length is 1-3/32". Web thickness is .2". The sides are very slender and the wood along the forearm should be finished flush. Traditionally secured with a copper rivet, and decorated with an engraved zigzag border along the rear edge. Wax cast steel. Made in the USA.
