This Ruger Old Army percussion revolver is polished blued steel with factory fitted non-adjustable sights. This revolver is offered in excellent used condition with a bright well maintained bore. This revolver shows only a few minor marks in the blued finish. The rosewood grips, with Ruger emblem, are factory fitted. This revolver has a smooth action, with nice trigger release. A peek inside the cylinder chambers proves that it has not seen much use, with no marks on the inside blue.

The factory recommends a .457" round ball. This revolver has slightly chamfered chamber mouths. If your revolver shaves lead, slightly polish each chamber mouth with fine emery and a marble, until the ball seats fully, compressing the lead instead of shearing it. The factory original stainless steel Ruger hex nipples are installed in the cylinder. We offer stainless steel replacement nipples, our #PRA-S that use a standard large revolver nipple wrench. The cylinder has safety notches cut between each nipple recess. Pull the hammer to half-cock, turn the cylinder to align the safety notch with the hammer nose, and set the hammer into the notch. You can safely carry this revolver with all six chambers loaded, if you rest the hammer in a safety notch.
