The round barrel is 9" length, with a .67" caliber smoothbore. The bore is bright, but does have frosting throughout. The blued barrel has aged to a speckled brown patina. No front or rear sights are fitted, nor are any expected on a short range pistol. The left side of the barrel is stamped with the serial number near the breach and .69 cal. Japan, however, the actual bore measurement is .67". The top of the barrel is stamped Proof Tested and the right side is stamped Black Powder Only Ultra-Hi.
The lock on this pistol has very basic internals with wire sear spring. This example has a stronger than normal mainspring and it does spark. The blued lock has the same speckled brown patina as the barrel. The barrel is drilled with a direct drilled vent hole that is centered on the pan. The single trigger requires a firm pull to release the lock.
