This Kentucky pistol is stocked in dark stained curly maple and trimmed in patina finished browned iron furniture. The small Queen Anne lock was finished to a gray brown patina to match the barrel and furniture. The 8-1/2" octagon-to-round barrel is 20 gauge smoothbore with a .620" diameter bore. The bore is bright and has been well maintained. The barrel is fitted with a silver front sight. No rear sight is fitted in holster pistol fashion where they were designed to be used at close range.

The curly maple stock is stained to a very dark brown tone that almost obscures the figure. The stock is shaped with a bird's head grip and checkered with broad checkering in early fashion. The barrel is fitted with a rounded end flared tang. The forearm is shaped with a molding along the ramrod channel. The muzzle end is shaped without a muzzle cap. The triggerguard is shaped with a ball end finial is mounted with pins. The side panel is fitted with a flush mounted tear drop style sideplate. The ramrod is fitted with a flared steel tip, it has provisions to attach loading and cleaning accessories.

The small Queen Anne flintlock has a crisp action and a well hardened frizzen. The rounded plate, pan, and the elegant cock are of London's best style, popular from 1730 to 1770. When using our best 3/4" knapped gun flints, the lock will throw a shower of sparks into the pan. A stainless steel vent liner is well centered and positioned at the top edge of the pan to provide best ignition.
