Made in Italy, by Davide Pedersoli, the dovetail base is slightly larger than a 3/8" standard dovetail for a snug fit. It will not fit the larger 7/16" slots on Shiloh, C. Sharps, or antique Sharps rifle dovetails. The .370" dovetail base is .080" deep, .651" wide, with a direction mark on the underside to ease installation. The center of the sight will sit .360" above the plane of the barrel.
This cleverly designed blued steel globe front sight is slotted to accept the classic Sharps style sight inserts. Loosen the knurled ring in one turn to insert one of the twelve sight inserts, included with each sight.
