This sight has a classic Germanic appearance and is appropriate for a Jeager hunting rifle, or early Transitional longrifle. The wide violin shaped base will overhang the dovetail, a correct feature on German rifles. Dovetail is .370" long, by .705" wide, dovetail to a depth of .050". Height from the bottom of the dovetail to the top of the sight notch is 0.29". Overall length of the sight is 2-5/32".
