This neck expander plug is .459" diameter, for loading lead .459" sized bullets, for a perfect fit without deformation, in .45-70 Government, .45-90 WCF, .45-100 2-6/10" Sharps, .45-110 2-7/8" Sharps, and similar .45 caliber cartridges. The length of the Lee die body limits the expander plug's use, in most reloading presses.
Use this neck expander plug in our #LEE-DIE-45-EX die body, with standard 7/8-14 threads, in your reloading press. This expander plug replaces the LEE factory supplied plug in that die body, or the identical die body supplied in the #LEE-DIE-4570 LEE .45-70 Government die set.
You will also need our #DIE-45-COMPRESS black powder compression plug, to compress the powder and over-powder card to the correct depth, to allow hand seating your bullet, in .45 caliber cartridges.
