This replica 1849 Colt Pocket Model revolver is .31 caliber, offered in excellent used condition, and manufactured by A. Uberti. The frame is color case hardened in a rainbow of mottled colors. The triggerguard and backstrap are polished brass, the walnut grips are stained a deep reddish tone. No loading lever is fitted to the Wells Fargo model, sometimes called the Pony Express model, since the rule was "fire five shots, and run". This revolver comes with the original factory box with paperwork.

The 4" barrel has a bright bore that has been well maintained. The tiny brass bead front sight is served by the rear sight, a notch in the hammer, to maximize sight radius. The bottom of the barrel is marked CAL .31 BLACK POWDER ONLY - MADE IN ITALY, along with various proof marks. The barrel bluing is in excellent condition. The cylinder is factory engraved with the classic stagecoach scene. It appears to have only been cocked a few times, with a very faint drag line. The walnut grips are correctly finished in the rich reddish brown color found on fine original Colt revolvers. The brass triggerguard and backstrap have aged to a mellow patina.
