This fine large powder horn measures 17" around the outer curve with an attractive double twist. The tip is made of turned horn and threads into a separate turned horn base allowing the horn to be easily refilled with powder. A hardwood fiddle peg stopper fits tightly in the tip. The horn features a turned maple plug measuring 2-3/4" in diameter. A 1/2" wide horn band decorates the rear along the base and is secured with small iron nails. The neck and plug have metal staples for attaching the shoulder strap.
