This Kentucky pistol has a petite grip, for a medium size man's hand, angled enough to provide perfect sight alignment, while it feels good in your hand. Stocked in straight grain walnut, the stock has dense grain, from muzzle to butt. Assembled from a kit the muzzle cap is not perfectly fitted. The pistol is used with with many handling marks on the stock and the edges of the grip. All the brass furniture has aged to a dark patina. Two brass rod pipes retain the ramrod. Octagon flats on each pipe echo the octagon theme of the barrel. Ring moldings surround the tiny octagon portion of the pipes.

Manufactured in Italy, by Davide Pedersoli, the 10-3/8" barrel is 15/16" octagon, cut rifled for a .490" round ball and .010" patch. Although the pistol has many handling marks the bore has been well maintained. The browned steel front sight is a wide blade, and the semi-buckhorn rear sight has a large "V" notch cut.

The flint lock has mottled color case hardened blues, grays, and purples. Used, the frizzen on the lock shows normal wear from firing. We recommend our #FLINT-ENG-5 in this small flintlock. Notice the attractive curled trigger, pinned high for best leverage. This trigger has a smooth easy release. The flint lock is retained by two blued steel lock bolts, fitted to a polished brass sideplate, inlet flush into the side panel. The side panel and grip have many marks through the finish to the wood below.
