This Pedersoli Kodiak Express rifle is stocked in walnut with a checkered wrist and forearm. The .50 caliber barrels are 28" long. These rifles have been made with a few different barrel twists over the years. This rifle has a 1 in 48" rate of twist. Locks are engraved and color case hardened. The stock and ramrod pipe have sling swivel lugs to allow easy carrying. This double rifle is used with scattered handling marks. Both bores are bright and have been well maintained. The 13-1/4" and 14-1/4" length of pull should fit todays average shooter. The rifle weighs 11.3 pounds.

The 28" blued barrels are .50 caliber, rifled with a 1 in 48" twist. The bores are bright and have been well maintained. The elevated front sight ramp is mounted to the rib, fitted with a brass bead. Two folding leaf rear sights are mounted at the breech. Each rear sight is individually adjustable for elevation and windage. The top of the left barrel is marked Kodiak cal .50 near the breech.

Fitted with a case hardened steel buttplate, the flat surface will help absorb the recoil from the .50 caliber double barrels. The long tang is engraved and color case hardened. The rear two screws are properly spaced to accept our Creedmoor Vernier 3" tang sight. However, most hunters prefer the open sights as issued, when hunting big game. A single wedge key retains the barrel to the forearm. The wedge key allows you to dismount the hooked breech, which allows for easy cleaning of the barrels without risk of wetting the stock

The long trigger plate and guard are both color case hardened. The ramrod entry pipe is also color case hardened. The rear sling swivel stud is securely mounted in the buttstock, while the forward swivel is mounted to the rear ramrod pipe. No sling is included with this rifle. The factory ramrod has been replaced with a black synthetic ramrod fitted with a brass loading tip. The opposite end is fitted with a brass tip threaded 10-32 to accept cleaning and loading accessories. No cheek is carved on the buttstock, making this rifle suited for both a right or left handed shooter.

The Pedersoli Express Rifle bar locks are engraved with a flowing scrolls, and color case hardened in vivid mottled colors. The locks and triggers function as they should. The breech is fitted with hardened steel 1/4-28 nipples for No. 11 CCI percussion caps.
