Uberti 1873 Cattleman "Dalton",
caliber .45 Colt, 5-1/2" barrel,
color case hardened frame, engraved, pearl grips,
as-new, by Aldo Uberti ~ Italy
This Colt Model 1873 Single Action revolver has a 5-1/2" barrel, in caliber .45 Colt, with engraving found on the color case hardened frame, barrel, cylinder, blued steel triggerguard and backstrap. The pearl grips adds a touch of class to this revolver and feel good in the hand when aimed. This replica revolver was made in Italy by A. Uberti & Co. for Stoeger, and is marked on the top of the barrel. This revolver is offered in as-new condition with a bright bore. The factory carton is included. Ready for same day shipment on receipt of your funds, and your Federal Firearms Licensed dealer's signed FFL copy. We must deliver to a Minnesota resident, or to a licensed dealer in any other state.
Our top view shows the floral engraved 5-1/2" barrel, and blade front sight. The rear sight is the notch in the frame, and it makes a nice sight picture. Your eye will instinctively center these rugged sights. The top of the barrel is stamped Stoeger - Accokeek, MD -A. Uberti-Italy. The side of the barrel is stamped 45 Colt and the bottom of the barrel is stamped Mod. 1873. The bore is bright, clean, and is ready to shoot.
A small screw at the front of the frame retains the cylinder pin. Known as the "Old Model" design, this is sometimes called the "Black Powder Frame". Loosen this screw, to slide out the cylinder pin, when removing the cylinder, to allow cleaning. Later Colt revolvers have a spring mounted cross screw, which operates as a push button, to dismount the cylinder without tools. This revolver requires a small screwdriver. The pearl grips are in excellent condition, with no visible handling marks.
Pull the hammer to half cock, and swing open the loading gate, to remove the empties and reload the cylinder. We strongly recommend carrying any single action revolver with the hammer down, on an empty cylinder, for your safety. Exactly as the trail wise cowboys of old! The engraved frame is color case hardened and is marked PAT. SEPT. 19. 1871 /JULY 2. 72. JAN 19. 75 in two lines below the cylinder, just as an antique revolver would. The date code stamped on the bottom of the frame indicates this revolver was manufactured in 2023.
This revolver is offered as-new with the factory box. It will be a joy to shoot at your next Cowboy Action Shooting event or to display in your Old West collection.
