This White Mountain Carbine is offered in used condition with a bright well maintained .54 caliber bore. It is stocked in walnut and has a few minor handling marks. This handy carbine has an adjustable rear sight, factory fitted black rubber recoil pad, sling swivel mounts, and blued steel furniture. The 21" blued barrel is octagon-to-round and fitted with a blued steel bead front sight and adjustable rear sight. Trigger reach is 13-3/4". Weight is 6.8 lbs.

The .54 caliber octagon-to-round barrel is 21" in length. The .54 caliber bore is bright and has been well maintained. The exterior blue finish has a few scattered handling marks from firing and cleaning. A bead front sight is fitted behind the muzzle, and the back of the bead has been painted white for better visibility. The rear sight is screw adjustable for windage and elevation. The elevation screw has distinct clicks, and windage scale is calibrated with engraved marks. The breech is stamped with T/C factory markings and serial number. This rifle pre-dates Thompson Center's QLA, and is rifled all the way to the muzzle.

Stocked in American black walnut the stock has a few minor handling marks. The toe of the stock and single ramrod pipe are fitted with sling swivel studs for quick detach swivels, to provide easy carrying when in the field. No sling is included. The octagon-to-round barrel is fitted with a hooked breech to allow for easy cleaning. Put the lock at half cock, remove the ramrod, drift the wedge key loose, and the barrel can be removed for cleaning without worry of getting any residue. The blued steel trigger guard has a large bow to accommodate a gloved hand. The black synthetic ramrod is fitted with blued tips. The rear tip is threaded to accept 10-32 cleaning and loading accessories.

The percussion lock is color case hardened, with factory engraving. It features a fly detent, for smooth lock action, and a powerful coil mainspring. The lock is retained by a single blued steel lock bolt with a blued steel washer-style side plate. A 1/4-28 stainless steel nipple for No. 11 percussion caps is installed. The single trigger provides a smooth release of the lock.
