This mid-length Brown Bess triggerguard was used on "First Model" muskets after about 1742, and on Officer's muskets. This triggerguard is pre-inlet into our 146 Brown Bess stock. Malleable wax cast brass, which was standard trim during this era. Overall length is 11-1/16", inside trigger bow is 1-3/4" long, and 1-5/32" deep.
