Copied from a an original U. S. Model 1803 Harper's Ferry Rifle, this patchbox is made of heavy gauge brass, hinged, ready for installation.
Both the 1803 and 1814 rifles can be fitted with this patchbox. Simply trim the patchbox lid flush with the buttplate, for use on the early 1803 to 1806 production.
