Similar to early military flint rifle sights, this is a "barley-corn" style front sight. The base is .370" long, only .550" wide, .050" deep. The blade stands .150" above the base, and measures .093" wide. Military rifles generally have iron front sights, while most civilian rifles have brass front sights.
