This brass powder measure holds 75 grains of FFg black powder. Made in the USA. Replaces TRESO 11-71-075 and Tedd Cash PM-75. The ball end finial is drilled to accept your lanyard. The tube is engraved with the capacity. Measures 75 grains of FFg black powder or 1.1 ounces of lead bird shot.

Originally called “finger chargers", these small brass tubes have a lanyard loop in the butt end, and may be shortened to the exact charge you desire, using a plumber's tubing cutter. Old timers sometimes reduced charges by inserting a wad or hard wax.

Grains or Drams?

Both are archaic English units of weight:
The King declared 7000 “plump grains of wheat" in one English pound. One pound weighs 7000 grains.
One pound is 16 ounces, each ounce has 16 drams.
One pound is 256 drams, one dram is 27-11/32 grains.
Pistols use half to one grain per caliber of bore size.
Rifles and shotguns use one to two grains per caliber of bore size..
