Trims cases from .17 to .50 caliber. Uses standard shell holders to position the cartridge case, and standard Lyman cutter heads and pilots. It includes nine popular pilots, see view two for a list of the inlcluded pilots.
Attach this case trimmer to your reloading bench, or to a wooden base that you clamp to your reloading bench, for most convenient use.
This case trimmer will handle the big Sharps 3-1/4" length cases, including the .50-140 3-1/4" Sharps, the .45-120 3-1/4" Sharps, and the .40-90 Sharps, and everything smaller.
Case trimming is easy, using the adjustable stop collar to precisely set the case length. The sharp cutter blades quickly trim the case to length, while the interchangeable pilot centers the case on the cutter. Simply turn the crank handle, to feel the cutter do its work. We recommend manually trimming the expensive Sharps rifle cases. You will develop a "touch", to sense when the cutting is complete.
If you wish to trim cases in large volume, you may wish to instead purchase Lyman's Universal Case Trimmer #LYMAN-TRIM-U along with the #LYMAN-TRIM-PA power adaptor, sold separately. Use your cordless or electric drill to drive the trimmer's power adaptor.
