This percussion lock was made by Thompson Center, for their Black Mountain Magnum or Westerner rifles. It is the same design as the lock used on Hawken, Renegade, New Englander, White Mountain Carbine, and Pennsylvania Hunter rifles, except this lock is factory blued, instead of color case hardened. The photo is representative! This used lock is in perfect working order, very good condition.
Right hand, the lock plate and hammer are factory engraved. This is a later T/C locks with the curled finger spur, and they require the new short nipple.
This lock has a powerful coil mainspring, fly detent for use with double set triggers, and it is tapped for an 8-32 lock bolt, sold separately.
