This powder horn has a Tansel style neck with engrailed border. This horn is finished with a yellow-brown patina on the body and a dark tip. The tip has a paneled end, raised strap ring, and smooth transition to an engrailed border to the horn body. The horn measures 14" around the outside curve from the tip to the end of the turned beehive base, the acorn finial adds about 7/8" to the overall length. Small iron nails secure the base to the horn. A turned wooden stopper is fitted. Add a leather or woven strap and this horn is ready to go!
