Hand Stamp for Northwest Gun, Daisy over T. B. inspection mark for Thomas Barnett North West Trade Gun, hardened steel, made in the USA, by Track of the Wolf, Inc.
The daisy over T. B. was used by Thomas Barnett to mark North West Trade Guns. This mark is patterned from a 1820 dated Barnett North West Trade Gun. The stamp is located below the proof, and view marks just ahead of the breech on the off flat.
The inspector's mark is about .360" wide, about .440" tall, and the tool body is 2-1/2" length, 1/2" diameter, brightly polished steel, hardened to Rc 62 to 65 (as hard as a file). Wrap the body with masking tape to provide a better grip.
Made in the USA, of very hard steel, this tool will give a long life, if used correctly.
