Our French Type D Fusil flint lock is suitable for French trade guns of simple design, made after 1730 until about 1763.
The Type D fusil was imported into Canada, in many variations, until 1763, when the “French & Indian War" ended and the French Marines were ejected from Canada by the British.
This early “banana" shaped lock uses our popular Jaeger flint lock internals. The early style frizzen pivots on a shouldered screw with no pan bridle. We stock every spare part, if ever needed.
We recommend that you order a dozen Flint-#ENG-7 English 7/8" gun flints, too.
This lock is shown at exact-full-size, in Track's new catalog for gunmakers and gunsmiths.
