This well made powder horn is the work of contemporary artists Scott and Cathy Sibley. This 14" horn is very attractively curled and has been finished with an aged patina. The 2-5/8" diameter walnut base is shaped with a button to secure a strap and is turned with raised and incised rings. The body has a single band in Southern banded horn fashion. The neck of the horn is fitted with a turned horn tip secured with small pins, and fitted with a hand carved stopper with a hidden vent pick.
