This Model 1876 Winchester rifle is chambered in 40-60 WCF and manufactured by A. Uberti. The factory finish has been removed and stained the correct Winchester red with an oil finish. The bore is bright and has been well maintained. We have this rifle on display, ready for same day shipment on receipt of your funds and signed copy of favorite dealer's FFL license.

The full octagon barrel is 28" length. Marked Cimmarron's Repeating Arms. Fredericksburg, Texas, USA - Kings Improvement Patented March 29, 1866. October 16, 1860- on the top flat. The breech end is stamped 1776 Centennial 1876 ahead of the breech and CAL .40-60 CAL on the off flat. The barrel is fitted with a Rocky Mountain style rear sight, and post front sight.

The attractive walnut stock has the classic rifle profile, with blued steel crescent style buttplate. This buttplate does have the sliding door for a cleaning rod similar to the earlier 1873 Model Winchester. No cleaning rod is included. The factory finish was removed from the stock, and the walnut was stained to a deep red with an oil finish. The wood has a few handling marks from use. Shown from above the tang is pre-drilled to accept a tang sight. The tang is marked Model 1876. The action is color case hardened with vivid grays, blues, and purple colors with a contrasting blue dust cover. The bottom view shows the nice brass cartridge lifter. The manual lever latch works perfectly. Rotate it one quarter turn, to release the lever for use.

The side view shows the color case hardened action. The large size and design instantly identify the 1876 Winchester. The trigger release is smooth and light, with only a small motion required. The cartridge loading gate shows minor marks from use. Loaded with modest powder charges and cast bullets, this will be a very enjoyable black powder Buffalo Rifle for long range match shooting.

Else if it does not fit you, return it in unfired condition for same-day refund. Postage is your only risk, when you order any one-of-a-kind gun from Track, whether new, used, or antique.
