This antique Spanish Miquelot is most often encountered in regions associated with Spanish Colonization, as well as areas in the Mediterranean Sea. The Spanish considered them superior to French style flintlocks and they were made well into the 1830's. This lock has very strong springs, and the sear is a horizontal design. Plate is 3.5" by 1.4".
