NEC brand PC-9801 UV
obsolete computer, circa 1988 - 1990,
and CGA Monitor
and
SODICK A-280 Wire EDM Machine for parts.
We are seeking an NEC PC-9801 UV computer, a small desktop computer system, generally with two floppy disk drives and a 12 to 14" CGA monitor. Made in Japan, primarily for the Japanese market, this was an early Personal Computer that ran a Japanese domestic version of MS-DOS, and was not a true IBM Compatible. It was one of the first electronic game computers, and the old games are still collectible. It is still useful as a controller in older machine tools.
We will consider other versions of the NEC PC-9801 as well as the UV which has two floppy disk drives.
We are also seeking a SODICK A-280 Wire EDM Machine, working or broken, for use or for parts. Call David at 763-633-2500 or write to us.

Cast Iron Lathes & Machine Tools,
foot power treadle,
or 1876 Patent Velocipede pedal powered,
and especially small parts & gears,
by
W. F. & John Barnes, Rockford, Illinois,
and other makers, circa 1870 - 1930,
wanted.
Foot Powered & Hand Powered Cast Iron or Wooden Tools,
Treadle, or Velocipede Pedal driven tools, or parts, chucks, gears, seats, and accessories for
Lathe, Drill Press, Grinder, Scroll Saw, Table Saw, and other tools by
W. F. & John Barnes, Rockford, Illinois
and other early tool makers, circa 1850 - 1930.

Barnes No. 4-1/2 Velocipede pedal lathe, circa 1887 - 1930.
Notice the cast iron seat with unique cast hole pattern. No name is cast into the seat. The flywheel may have two, three, or four diameters, cut for flat or round leather drive belt. The pedals have an 1876 Patent date. The velocipede (bicycle) pedal crankshaft has two, three, four, or five pedals. Legs often have W. F. & John Barnes, Rockford, Ill cast in raised letters. The flywheel is sometimes gear driven, often chain driven. Many variations exist. These interesting American tools were made from about 1870 until about 1930.
Many old treadle powered tools have been converted to electric power, and are still in daily service.
We are eager to buy or trade for these old lathes, drills, saws, grinders, and other cast iron tools with patent dates. We will carefully restore these to original configuration, and use these as working display and demonstration tools in our period Gunsmithing Exhibit, at our new 22,680 square foot Headquarters Building, at our Same Day Shipping Center and Internet Order Fulfillment Center, in Elk River, Minnesota.

Loose change gears for Barnes lathes are spoked, small gears are solid, with a .000" bore, and single keyway slot. The number of teeth in each gear is stamped opposite the slot, on one side. Wood lathes lack these gears. We also seek the knurled 5/16-18 gear retaining screws, acorn shaped turned steel oil caps, and other accessories, including early drill chucks and lathe chucks, and chuck wrenches.

We are seeking Barnes Lathe gears, face plates, lathe chucks, drill chucks, wrenches, tool post, dead centers, Armstrong #0 tool holders (fit 3/8 x 7/8" slot in tool post), and similar items by other tool makers. If you have old lathe parts, from the 1870 to 1930 period, send your list.

Notice the unique hole pattern used on cast iron Barnes tool seats. No name is usually found on the seat.
Typically worth $50.00 to $100.00 depending on condition, we also seek the seat support arm, tool legs, countershaft, gears, W. F. & John Barnes tool catalogs, early machine tool manuals, early drill chucks, lathe chucks, drill press, pedal grinders, and other early cast iron tools for our gun shop.

Old style balanced crank handles have graceful and thin knobs and grips. These were sometimes broken during transit. Several variations exist, and we seek nice original specimens. Many are smaller than those shown, and have one ball and one extension handle.

The Barnes tool post is "lantern" shaped, with a telescoping threaded base, to adjust height. Notice the "pie crust" finger groove edges. Please help us find original examples of these interesting old tool parts. Several sizes exist.

Beretta 12 gauge Over / Under Percussion Shotgun
wanted
Model 1000 Beretta 1980 Commemorative Shotgun wanted. Our customers seek the nice over / under Beretta Percussion Shotgun. We have a ready market for used, new, unfired, or cased Beretta over / under shotguns, and those with accessories. This shotgun is an unusual design, with the loose wood forend panels, and slip-on barrel bands. It has a reputation for mis-firing the second barrel, which can be resolved by enlarging the flash channel in the plug insert screw. After the Beretta commemorative model was sold, these were also made by Armi San Marco, Antonio Zoli, and sold as unfinished kits.
The Beretta gun in the luggage case commands the best price, and guns in foam lined cartons with accessories are also sought by shooters and collectors. Request our Free Appraisal Form. We can sell your Beretta percussion shotgun!
