This replica 1862 Colt Pocket Navy Model revolver is .36 caliber, with a five shot cylinder, and 5-1/2" octagon barrel. The cylinder and barrel are finished to a dark blue. The frame, hammer, and loading lever are color case hardened. The triggerguard and backstrap are silver plated. The walnut grips are stained to a reddish brown. This revolver has a drag line on the cylinder. It has the factory box with paperwork and hang tag.

The cylinder is rebated, with factory roll engraving of a Stagecoach hold-up fight. The cylinder does have a drag line from being cocked. The tiny brass bead front sight is served by the rear sight, a notch in the hammer, to maximize sight radius. Correctly marked ADDRESS SAM'l COLT ~ NEW-YORK US AMERICA on the top of the 5-1/2" barrel.

The triggerguard and backstrap are brass with a silver plating. The silver plating has darkened from long storage. Not to be confused with the Colt Signature Series revolver, this is the earlier production Colt brand Second Generation revolver. The walnut grips are correctly satin finished in the rich reddish brown color found on fine original Colt revolvers. The triggerguard is marked COLT'S PATENT exactly as found on the original revolver.

We recommend 15 grains of GOEX FFFg powder, and a .380" round ball, for best accuracy and best compression. Cover each ball with a small amount of our #LUBE-SPG bullet lubricant grease.Despite your best efforts, this revolver will need to be cleaned after 10 or 15 shots. Remove the wedge, barrel, and cylinder. Wipe the face of the cylinder, and wipe the cylinder pin.

If you continue to load and fire a badly fouled revolver, the effort needed to cock and fire the gun will become greater, causing the small internal hand, spring, and cylinder latch to become worn and slightly damaged. Continued abuse will cause the cylinder and latch to become out-of-time. Simple cleaning and maintenance will prevent problems. Prized by collectors, this pistol was made to be a precision shooter. We can supply a correct Colt style flask, balls, mold, and everything you need for your percussion revolver.
